When we began looking for a photographer we were drawn to Christina because she is reasonably priced to fit our budget, but it was her great personality won us over. We were a bit nervous about what we wanted for pictures or where to start to go about them. Christina gave us ideas on places as well and patient with us and had no time issues to make sure shoot went well. If I would recommend her to someone I would say that she makes you feel comfortable and treats you like a friend. She really goes above and beyond to meet your expectations. Our favorite part about our evening session was the train going across bridge and sitting on train bridge. If we described our feelings in the session we would say it was Incredible and fun. We found Christina very comforting in dealing with any nervousness and it was kinda hip too.
- Tyler + Tarynn -
The first time I met Tyler and Tarynn in the fall last year over coffee, they described their plans for their wedding with lots of excitement. They had so many neat ideas and were open to adventure and something different, so when it came to their engagement session I knew we would be in for a bit more exploring which is exactly what I like! It's really normal to love the idea of engagement pictures but when it actually comes time to BE in front of a camera it can become super intimidating. I have so much respect for the people who even though they are nervous, are game to let me coach them and help them out!
I am 98% sure that Tarynn thinks I'm a total nut but that's fine with me! We went tromping through the woods in Indian Battle Park over branches and brush and with only one mishap (Sorry Tarynn about your hand!) to land ourselves in this quiet grove. This is one of my favorite spots, it feels like something out of a fairy tale with the light softly falling through the trees.
Tyler and Tarynn really loves the architecture of the Lethbridge train bridge, so we went for it! I love the way the lines flow around them. By this time they were used to me waving and offering instruction from far away. I try to just give my couples a general idea of 'what pose' I want them to be going for and then let them settle into it so they are comfortable and it feels more natural! Right at the end of the session we made it to the top of the coulee overlooking the high level bridge and low and behold a train came by! It was such an incredible end to a perfect evening engagement session! After all, trains are good luck ;)
