This one was so fun. Sometimes it's good to do something just for me - to shoot without pressure, to explore new techniques and styles, and to enjoy being behind the lens! To be fair I love every shoot I do, it never feels like work! But this was an absolute ball. I wanted to do a woodland theme bridal shoot that really showcased the beauty of the forests here in the Fraser valley. I found the perfect spot in the Redwood Forest in Surrey and it inspired me to reach out to local vendors to make something happen.
I had the joy of working with some local vendors who put in a lot of work behind the scenes to make my vision happen! Thank you so much for your support and encouragement in this!
Dresses were provided by: Everything But the Groom Bridal Boutique located in downtown Langley. The ladies there were absolutely lovely and accommodating in helping me find the dresses to suit both my style and the theme I was going for! They have a wide range of styles of dresses - from high end couture to the beautiful classics. Seriously give them a visit and tell them I sent you!
Makeup was provided by Jaymie Dekker - she's just starting out and she is SO GOOD! She's a total natural and I can't wait to see where she goes with this! She was kind and prompt and was excellent at taking my ideas and turning them into something magical
Flowers for the ballgown shoot were provided by Rosebay Florist out of Abbotsford. The rose and babies breath bouquet that they provided was so perfect! It had just the touch of woodsy whimsy to it that it flattered the dress perfectly. Their communication was excellent and it was such a privilege to share their product!
