Oh christmas tree, oh christmas tree... that song has been ringing in my ears ever since this session! The day was dreary in true West Coast winter weather, but that didn't dampen the spirits of this family of 7 while the set out on their annual christmas tree hunt at the Oh Christmas Tree Farm in Langley, BC. Puddles abounded, rain was pouring and even though we had to walk to the very back corner of the very large farm to find "the one" I think that it's safe to say it was a successful trip. This family has been going to the same tree farm for years, and there is a lot of tradition tied to the trip. Mum always brings hot chocolate, it always rains, and they try to get the "Annual Put the Kids in the Cart" photo - though I do believe this is the last year it will be tried!
I think one of the things we don't often put together is Christmas traditions and longevity. But yet, so often, the traditions we want to do with our kids is something that we once did with our own parents. And in turn, the traditions we start with our own little families might change in ways we never considered as they get older.
This was a snapshot session - you'd be surprised what you can all have documented in a couple hours! If you'd like to have your own family's memories and tradtions captured I would seriously love to hang out <3
