{Dave + Amber} Family

{A note from Amber}

I knew that Christina would take exceptional photos and be accommodating and understanding, given her great personality. Her work has surpassed my expectations! I'm at a loss for words for how beautiful they are. I cannot wait to share them with my family! She truly has a gift and loves photography and I will not hesitate to recommend her.  I think our favorite part of the evening was playing around in our family's fave environment it felt so natural and makes a great memory.

I met this super awesome family down in Popsan Park (which, by the way, I didn't even know existed) which is one of their favorite places. After we piled out of our vehicles Bryn excitedly talked my ear off about his future job options - he's thinking maybe a velociraptor backhoe loader driver - and promised to find me some nice rocks that he could turn into a necklace for me.

Kids and water go really well together I think. They just explored and hammered rocks and looked for fish while I sat back and snapped away! The only thing Amber requested was one picture where they are all looking at the camera.  I loved that.

Because really, when you look at a family picture you KNOW that at any given time someone will start pesting someone else, the kid who is smiling so innocently probably wants to go get soaking wet and the dog just wants to chase a stick. So why not? Why not relax and be you.  A photo session is meant to be fun, to be a time where you reconnect with your family. Where you give lots of hugs and snuggles and make each other laugh. And that's what we did. Amber, who looks stunning as always,  was absolutely glowing surrounded by her children.

Isla, the sweet little ball of joy that she is, was full of smiles and giggles for her dad who did such an awesome job of making her smile! It melts my heart how easily children show love for their people!

Malaki is the quiet one in the family, prefering to explore on his own and enjoy the quiet. The weather was warm and the sunset perfect,  maybe another time we can explore more of the park!

Aries had an absolute blast and while she usually turned her back to my camera, there were a couple moments when her true diva self came out and she rocked her poses like a pro ;).

These next couple photos really tug at my heart strings because by this point everyone was used to me being there, and I got to see everyone interact more naturally with each other. Genuine emotion, joy and play is not something you can fake. And when I get the opportunity to see these little glimpses into a family's relationship and capture it for them it makes my day.

Love
Christina
